Bringing Consciousness to the Eating Experience; A portal into your body and food through Nonviolent (Compassionate) Communication

When my father was in his late 30′s and I was eight years old, my dad developed diabetes. Our family’s world dramatically changed. This disease impacted all of us. It dictated what foods were in the house, what time we needed to eat, how to cope with possible insulin reactions and how to know what they looked like (a bit like someone who has drank more than his body can handle). In my father’s case he would say things that were uncharacteristically kind and loving. Anxiety and concern about my father’s health was an undercurrent of our family’s existence.

Food and exercise play an incredibly important role in our health and well-being. I am here to help you heal your relationship with food, offer resources to support that healing and invite less suffering in the world based on ill health. “Every choice we make creates our life” is a line from a song I enjoy. If you are wanting to make some changes to meet needs for health and well-being, I would be honored to help you on your journey. Below are some of the questions I ask you to ask yourself to determine your willingness and desire to go this path together.

Are you hoping to transform your relationship with your body and food?

Create and sustain a connection with your body and food that is life-enhancing rather than adversarial.

Want to let go of the struggle and bring more peace,  joy and fun to your eating experience?

We want to support your process to beef up the quality of your relationships; with yourself, your body, food and those in your life.

The time for change is now ~ we want to be sure this generation outlives their parents which means fundamental changes are being asked of us. “Ask not what your country can do for you – and your health care – ask what you can do to take better care of your own health.”

Ready to make some changes for a different quality of connection with yourself and others?

Your time is now!
